Face Coverings Now Mandatory in Shops in Ireland,

As part of a delay to phase 4 of the Irish Government opening up society a new guideline was set out on July 15th that it is now mandatory to wear a Face mask in retail stores.

A recent upsurge in cases, in particular an increase in the R ( replication ) rate has led to a delay by the government in opening pubs, nightclubs and casinos among other businesses.

RTE News reports that the Irish Government has announced that face coverings must now be worn in all shops, retail settings and shopping centres.

The government has said the strong advice is for people to start obeying the guidance immediately, but regulations will take some time to draft.

Regulations to enforce the compulsory wearing of face coverings on public transport came into effect this week.

Following a Cabinet meeting at Dublin Castle last evening July 15th 2020, Taoiseach Micheál Martin announced the new measures after confirming that Ireland will not progress to Phase 4 of lifting coronavirus restrictions.

Not to worry, we have you covered at Bella Boo Makes where we have pleated masks and moulded masks that are all washable and reusable.  All our masks are washable at 40 degrees.

The moulded masks come in three different sizes allowing a more moulded fit. Small would suit, children or teenagers. Medium could suit ladies or older teenagers and large is for men or larger faces.

Remember also that although mandatory it is only for inside. The UN has released a series of images to help spread the word about face coverings and prevention of Covid 19 including this one to help us to see the bright side.
